SmartSDK project meeting in Puebla, Mexico

The SmartSDK Mexican-European Project had a meeting at INAOE (instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica), Puebla, Mexico, October 9th-12th, 2017. Nearly 30 persons attended the meeting from several institutions in Mexico and Europe, including Martel, CICESE, INFOTEC, CENIDET, ITESM and INAOE.

During the 1st day of meeting the project participants presented the current status and future plans for the application scenarios: Smart City, Smart Health and Smart Security; and the Platform, including the Data Models and Data Management.

The next days were dedicated to training on the different tools and enablers related to FIWARE:

  • Docker
  • Smart Spot
  • Cloudino
  • ProximiThing
  • QuantumLeap
  • NGSI Encription
  • Data Models

All the training sessions were video recorded and will be made accessible to the FIWARE community in the near future. Previous to the meeting, some of the participants visited the Great Millimetre Telescope, situated at 4600 meters above see level. It is the largest telescope of its kind in the world, with a 50 m antenna.
